Blake’s Battle is a team that walked for their first year in Norwalk for Blake, age 14, who was diagnosed in November 2012. Blake fundraised by reaching out to family and friends for the Ford, “Our Everyday Heroes” Race Car Design Contest. His winning design was chosen nationally and allowed his family to attend the Route 66 NHRA race in Illinois and unveil his design.

The team believes that supporting JDRF and participating in the walk is important because they want to bring awareness to the T1D, continue research, and would love to see a cure in Blake’s lifetime. This year Blake’s Battle has raised $7,392 and counting this walk season! Thanks for all your support!
