On Wednesday, November 13th, Bill Woods spoke to a full crowd at Brace Auditorium in the Tully Health Center about his experiences in the Beacon Hill Bionic Pancreas Study. Woods is the Community Manager at Glu, a husband, a father of two, and a diabetic since his youth. During his five days in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital this past summer, Woods tested the limits of the bionic pancreas and carefully documented his experience.

As he explained in his talk, he did this to advance research and to provide as much feedback as possible. Woods shared his personal stories and fielded audience questions. It was hopeful to hear about the near future but Woods cautioned everyone not to let it affect the way they manage their diabetes in the meantime.

This event was presented by Stamford Hospital.
